Dog Biting Problem - Best Way To End Your Dogs Biting

By Mr cory roberts

Puppies are adventurous and learn about their new world by biting and gnawing on everything around them, this action is fine and very normal in new dogs. If your dog is still biting and tearing up your belongings at the 4 month mark, you must begin to take action.

One of
the most frustrating things about a new dog is that they bite everything.   Dogs do this mostly when playing and
teething, it is the owners’ job to teach the new pup what is acceptable and
what is not.  Puppies are adventurous and
learn about their new world by biting and gnawing on everything around them,
this action is fine and very normal in new dogs.  If your dog is still biting and tearing up
your belongings at the 4 month mark, you must begin to take action.  Your dog needs to socialize with other dogs
to learn how the other dogs play and behave, by doing this your dog will learn
to inhibit it’s biting and learn self control.
This is something that can only be taught by other dogs and there is no
way us humans can simulate this type of teaching.

The key is to have your dog socializing with other
dogs regularly before they hit the 4 month mark.  Learning when biting is appropriate during
play with other dogs, and inappropriate while at home with their owner makes
all the difference when training your dog not to bite.  Large dogs are generally tougher to train as
they age so get them bite free early so you don’t have a headache later in the
dogs life.  Bottom line is that lack of
socialization will generally result in biting with most dogs so get them out in
the world early, this information will benefit your dog almost as much as it
benefits you!

Another major reason dogs bite is because of a lack
of trust and respect, or they might just be scared.  If your dog doesn't trust you, there is no
reason why he should respect you.  If
your dog does not trust and respect you, when you attempt to teach your dog
something, he will simply ignore you and make no effort to learn from this
“know it all” owner.  The best way to
lose your dogs respect is to hit it or slap it on the nose.  If there is an accident or mess in the house,
don’t scold or punish the poor guy.  You
must understand that it is not their fault for going in the house; it is your
fault for not training him to go outside.

These simple steps can turn a disobedient dog into
your best friend.  Go out and use these
techniques to earn your dogs trust and respect.
